500g cheap beef cut (chuck or shin), diced
Leftover vegetables, chopped
1 onion and 2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp tomato purée
1 litre beef stock
1 tsp dried herbs
Brown the beef (optional).
Add all ingredients to a slow cooker.
Cook on low for 7–8 hours.
Season and serve with mash or crusty bread.
